Council Member <br />adoption: Reinert <br />• introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />• <br />• <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 07 -10 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A POLICY FOR SETTING CHARGE <br />RATES FOR PERSONNEL SERVICES <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes provides personnel services for various <br />functions, occasions, events and activities, either contractual or <br />otherwise, that are in addition to the City's normal functions and <br />activities; and, <br />WHEREAS, there are costs associated with providing these services which <br />include salaries, benefits, training, equipment, administrative and <br />other indirect costs; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes that providing such services may have <br />potential adverse financial impacts on the taxpayers of the City; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council to recover the costs associated <br />with providing such services to mitigate such adverse financial <br />impacts on its taxpayers. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Lino Lakes as <br />follows: <br />1) The Finance Department shall annually calculate the charge rates for <br />city personnel to be charged for services performed, under contract or <br />otherwise, which are in addition to the City's normal functions and <br />activities. Such charge rates shall include salaries, benefits and other <br />personnel costs, equipment, administrative and other indirect costs so <br />as to recover the costs of providing such services and mitigate adverse <br />financial impacts on city taxpayers. <br />2) That these charge rates shall be reviewed from time to time as <br />conditions dictate. <br />3) That the billing and collection of such charges to the benefiting party <br />shall be performed by the Finance Department in a timely manner <br />following the provision of such services. <br />
