• Council Member° °Donnellintroduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO.07 -26 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE PROCESS <br />AND <br />ESTABLISHING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN ADVISORY PANEL <br />WHEREAS, The City is preparing its 2008 Comprehensive Plan Update for <br />review by the Metropolitan Council in accordance with MN Statute 473.175; and <br />WHEREAS, The Planning and Zoning Board serves as the "Planning Agency" of <br />the City and is responsible for preparation of the Comprehensive Plan in <br />accordance MN Statute 463.555; and <br />WHEREAS, the goal of the City Council is to foster a citizen - driven planning <br />process that implements the city's long range vision; and <br />III WHEREAS, the citizen advisory boards and the citizens who participated in 2030 <br />Visioning provide a broad spectrum of ideas that have the common goal of <br />maintaining and improving the quality of the City and the lives of its citizens; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Council to maximize public involvement in the <br />process while establishing a process to complete the plan update in accordance <br />with MN Statute 473.864 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Lino Lakes City Council hereby <br />approves the Comprehensive Plan Update Process as outlined on Exhibit A, <br />attached hereto. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Lino Lakes City Council hereby establishes <br />the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Panel which shall consist of the following <br />membership: <br />1. All members of the Planning and Zoning Board <br />2. 3 members each from the Environmental Board, Park Board and <br />Economic Development Advisory Committee. <br />3. 9 members of the 2030 Visioning Committee <br />4. 5 city residents selected by the City Council <br />• <br />
