• <br />AGENDA ITEM 6E <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Michael Grochala <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MEETING DATE: February 26, 2007 <br />TOPIC: Consideration of Resolution No. 07 -35, Approving No <br />Parking Designation, CSAH 14 (Main St.) 35W to 35E <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Anoka County is nearing completion of final design for the reconstruction of CSAH 14 <br />(Main Street) from I -35W to I -35E. Construction is anticipated to start in June of 2007. <br />Based on the roadway design and State Aid Rules on- street parking will not be allowed <br />on the roadway except for specified areas within downtown Centerville. As part of the <br />project approvals the Minnesota Department of Transportation requires the local <br />jurisdiction to designate this restriction. <br />• The designation will apply to the stretch of CSAH 14 from I -35W through the park to the <br />corporate boundary with Centerville and from 21st Avenue to the I -35E ramps. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff is recommending adoption of Resolution No. 07 -35 Approving the No Parking <br />Designation for CSAH 14. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
