• <br />• <br />• <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MEETING DATE: <br />TOPIC: <br />AGENDA ITEM 6C <br />Michael Grochala <br />March 26, 2007 <br />Consideration of Resolution No. 07 -49 <br />Approving Cooperative Construction <br />Agreement with Mn /DOT, I -35W /Lake Dr. <br />ACTION REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND <br />The City is preparing to move forward with the reconstruction of the Lake Drive /I -35W <br />Interchange in 2007. The City was successful in receiving both Municipal Agreement <br />funding and Local Road Improvement Funding from the State of Minnesota <br />The agreement provides for payment to the city of the state's share of the costs of the <br />construction to be performed by the City in the amount of $576,000.00. The agreement <br />also outlines the maintenance responsibilities of Mn /DOT and the City. The Local Road <br />Improvement Funding will be handled under a separate council resolution following <br />award of the construction contract. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff is recommending approval of Resolution No. 07 -49. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
