Council Member° ►Donn ®llintroduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 07 -53 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION <br />CONTRACT - 2007 OVERLAY PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of 2007 Overlay <br />Project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following <br />bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br />Contractor Amount of Bid <br />W B Miller, Inc. $ 169,929.50 <br />ASTECH Corp. $ 185,470.20 <br />North Valley, Inc. $ 191,535.12 <br />Northwest Asphalt, Inc. $ 196,044.50 <br />Rum River Contracting $ 206,939.00 <br />Hardrives, Inc. $ 214,171.00 <br />Midwest Asphalt Corp $ 219,976.75 <br />T A Schifsky & Sons, Inc. $ 242,747.50 <br />Knife River Corp. $ 248,896.40 <br />Engineer's Estimate $ 188,564.00 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that W B Miller, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract <br />with W B Miller, Inc., in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction of the <br />2007 Overlay Project according to the plans and specifications approved by the City <br />Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br />2.
