Studenski, City Engineer <br />COUNCIL MEETING DATE: April 23, 2007 <br />TOPIC: Resolution No. 07 — 56, Establishing Municipal State Aid Streets. <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Each State Aid eligible municipality must submit an annual inventory of the City's <br />existing and proposed State Aid routes. This annual inventory is the basis that MnDOT <br />uses to determine allocation of State Aid funds. <br />Including the revocation of M.S.A. 210 - 114 -020 and M.S.A. 210 - 115 -020, a total of 0.50 <br />miles are available to be designated to the system per MnDOT requirements. <br />After analysis of the City's M.S.A. system, it has been determined that the following <br />streets should be designated as Municipal State Aid Streets: <br />• Cedar Street East (0.12 miles) from Clearwater Creek Drive to County Road 84 <br />(Otter Lake Road). See attached MAP #2. <br />• Century Trail (0.26 miles) from Robinson Drive to County State Aid Highway 14 <br />(Main Street). See attached MAP #3. <br />The two proposed designations total to 0.38 miles. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends adoption of Resolution Number 07 — 56, Establishing Municipal <br />State Aid Streets. <br />• <br />
