• <br />• <br />Council Member Stoltz introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 07 -61 <br />SUPPORTING ANOKA COUNTY FEDERAL FUNDING APPLICATION FOR <br />IMPROVEMENTS TO COUNTY STATE AID HIGHWAY 23 (LAKE DRIVE) <br />WHEREAS, Lake Drive in the City of Lino Lakes, Minnesota is Anoka County State Aid <br />Highway 23 (CSAH 23), a route on the National Highway System (NHS); and <br />WHEREAS, the CSAH 23/I -35W corridor is currently experiencing growing congestion <br />and safety problems; and <br />WHEREAS, CSAH 23, north of the I -35W Interchange is constructed as a four lane <br />divided highway to 77th Street; and <br />WHEREAS, Anoka County is proposing to reconstruct CSAH 23 to a four lane divided <br />roadway from 77th Street through the intersection of CSAH 14 (Main Street), a principal <br />arterial. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City of Lino Lakes endorses Anoka <br />County's application for Federal Transportation Funds and fully supports the <br />construction of said project. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the City of Lino Lakes, in cooperation with Anoka <br />County, is committed to procuring local (non - federal funds) match funds of a least 20 <br />percent of the construction costs required as part of the Federal Transportation Grant <br />program. <br />ne Bartell, Cit Cler <br />J. B geson, Mayor <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 23rd day of April 2007. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Membercarison and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br />Stoltz, Carlson, O'Donnell, Reinert, Bergeson <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />3 <br />
