Council Meeting
July 12, 1982
Mr. Marier moved that El Rehbein conform to the stipulations in the Special Use Permit
as to the landscaping to be completed within thirty days of the completion of the
IIICounty work being done on Lake Drive. Seconded by Mayor Benson. Motion carried
unanimously.
E.R. HENRICKSEN - CLARIFICATION OF P &Z ACTIONS
Mr. Schumacher explained that this item is on the agenda because at the last Council
meeting a variance was approved for one specific parcel of land in this area.
Mr. Schumacher had had the tapes transcribed verbatim, and the intent of the Planning
and Zoning Board was to approve the entire parcel for splits into 21/2 acre parcels.
Mr. Marier moved to grant the variance for all the existing lots in the parcel of land
to include any stipulations set forth by the Planning and Zoning Board. Seconded by
Mayor Benson.
Mrs. Elsenpeter wondered if the previous motion should not be rescinded and a new motion
to include all the lots be made.
Mr. Marier felt that the application at the last meeting had been for only one lot and
his motion would take in the remaining lots.
Mayor Benson requested that the staff be extra careful in getting the minutes correct.
Mr. Marier agreed.
Mrs. Elsenpeter felt that since there is no variance request for this action, this
Council should start all over, rescind the last motion and make the motion to include
III the entire parcel.
IIIThe meeting is now adjourned at 8:13 P.M. due to J. of a q
Mr. Marier suggested that Mrs. Elsenpeter do this. He removed his present motion
from the floor.
Mrs. Elsenpeter moved to rescind the motion granting a variance for one parcel in
Mr. Henriksen's project. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Motion carried unanimously.
Mayor Benson asked Mrs. Elsenpeter to make the motion granting the variance for
all the lots.
Mrs. Elsenpeter said she was sick and tired of sitting here, being the only woman and
having to be put down by the men of this Council, three years of it.
Mr. Marier said he was the only man here - he was sorry.
Mrs. Elsenpeter asked what Mayor Benson was and Mr. Marier said he was just the
moderator.
Mrs. Elsenpeter - Your Honor, I'm Going home. You can continue the meeting without
me.
Mr. Marier, we don't have a quorum - we can't. I'd like you to stay.
Mayor Benson asked that minutes show that Council Woman Elsenpeter removed herself.
Edna L. Sarner, Clerk- Treasurer
m.
Benj n G. :en4.. " .yor
