Council Meeting <br />December 13, 1982 <br />(4't <br />The Clerk had written an answer to the Sell Publishing in reference to their request <br />for packets. She asked the Council for comments on this answer. If they have no <br />objections, then she will mail. <br />1 <br />FIRE MARSHALL'S RECOMMENDATIONS <br />Mr. Macdonald had done some testing on response time for the areas of Main Street, <br />particularly the area west of Rondeau Lake Drive to Lake Drive comparing the <br />mileage and driving time of the Centerville Fire Department and the Lexington Fire <br />Department. All tests were conclusive that this area should be served by the <br />Centerville Fire Department. <br />The area to be considered is all of Main Street west to the corner of Lake Drive; <br />Lake Drive North of Main Street; and all of the area East of Lake Drive and North <br />of Main Street. <br />Mr. Marier moved to approve the recommendations of Mr. Macdonald, Lino Lakes Fire <br />Marshall. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />There were no items to be considered. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Mr. Schumacher reported on the information he had received indicating the City must <br />hold a Public Hearing in conjunction with the Cable TV. This is for the purpose of <br />allowing the public to present their views on this matter. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to hold a Public Hearing on the Cable TV for January 10, 1983. <br />Seconded by Mr. Marier. The vote ended in a tie. <br />Mrs. Elsenpeter moved to set the Public Hearing for December 27, 1982 at 7:30 P.M. <br />Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried with Mr. Marier voting, No. <br />There is a Public Hearing on the Cable TV to be held this Wednesday evening. <br />Mrs. Elsenpeter reported that both she and Mr. Volk have a conflict and cannot <br />attend. However, someone should be there to represent the City. Mr. Marier <br />moved to send Mr. Schumacher. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mayor Benson made note of the special meeting coming up on Saturday, December 18th <br />with the various Cities and representatives of their Fire Departments. <br />Mayor Benson also referred to the Action Alert from the League of Minnesota Cities in <br />regards to the cuts to the City's State Aid. He requested Mr. Schumacher to compute <br />the actual figures and send a copy to the Council. <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to adjourn at 8:35 P.M. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Aye. <br />Edna L.
