)484 <br />Special Council Meeting <br />January 3, 1983 <br />The Special Meeting of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to order at 7:05 P.M., <br />January 3, 1983 by Mayor Benson with all members present. <br />ANNUAL CITY APPOINTMENTS <br />Planning and Zoning Board Mr. Richard Juleen and Mr. Richard Goldade have terms <br />that expired. Mr. Juleen had indicated to Mayor Benson that he felt that he did not <br />have the time to continue and would ask not to be reappointed. Mr. Goldade would <br />continue. Three names have been suggested as candidates for this Board - <br />Mr. Harvey Karth, Mr. Paul Howard and Mr. Wally Ostlie. Mayor Benson appointed <br />Mr. Charles Prokop as Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Board. Mr. Marier moved <br />to appoint Mr. Wally Ostlie to the Planning and Zoning Board for a three year term. <br />Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Marier moved to reappoint Mr. Richard Goldade to a three year term. Seconded <br />by Mr. Reinert. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Park Board - Mayor Benson reported that all members on the Park Board whose terms <br />are expiring wish to remain on that Board. Mr. Marier moved to reappoint Mr. Peter <br />Scherer, Mrs. Julie LaBlond, and Mr. Jim Arntzen to three year terms. Seconded by <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously. Mayor Benson appointed Mr. Ken Johnson <br />as Chairman of the Park Board. <br />City Attorney - Mr. Marier moved to reappoint Mr. William Hawkins as City Attorney. <br />Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously. <br />City Engineer - Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to table this consideration. Seconded by <br />Mr. Marier. Motion carried with Mrs. Elsenpeter and Mayor Benson voting, No. <br />City Planner - Mr. Marier moved to appoint Barton- Aschman with Mr. William Short <br />as City Representative. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously. <br />City Engineer - Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to table this consideration. Seconded by <br />Mr. Marier. Motion carried with Mrs. Elsenpeter and Mayor Benson voting, No. <br />City Planner - Mr. Marier moved to appoint Barton - Aschman with Mr. William Short as <br />City Representative. Seconded by Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Weed Inspector - Mr. Marier moved to reappoint Mr. Allan Robinson. Seconded by <br />Mr. Kulaszewicz. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Fire Marshall - Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to reappoint Mr. Bruce Macdonald. Seconded <br />by Mr. Marier. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Civil Defense Director - Mrs. Elsenpeter moved to reappoint Mr. Charles Cape. Seconded <br />by Mr. Marier. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Health Official - Anoka County - Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to designate the Anoka County <br />Health Department as the Health Official. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Legal Newspaper - Mayor Benson noted that three letters had been received from the <br />local papers. Mr. Kulaszewicz moved to designate the Circulating Pines as the <br />legal paper. The motion died for lack of a second. <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
