1 <br />1 <br />151 <br />Council Meeting <br />December 27, 1983 <br />definite proposals as yet. <br />Mr. Schumacher said a portion will be used to complete the Senior <br />Center, to include lighting, parking lot and landscaping. <br />MR. Marier asked that agenda Iten #9 be discussed at this time. <br />Mr. Schumacher reported that of the anticipated $33,000.00, $5360.00 <br />had been included in the 1984 budget. He also reported on a proposal <br />that had been submitted for the use of the funds. This proposal would <br />give Lino Lakes the three year anticipated funds, in one year. <br />Mr. Marier asked what are the recommendations for the use of these <br />funds and Mr. Schumacher listed several possibilities. <br />Mayor Benson asked if there is a possibility of using this money in <br />connection with the proposed fire service district? Mr. Reinert <br />felt the consolidation of the funds would be a plus for this community. <br />He also wondered if these funds could be used for the fire service <br />district. <br />Mr. Schumacher was asked if this was possible and he said he had <br />talked with Mrs. Wright and had asked her to attend a Council <br />meeting to answer some of these questions. <br />There was also discussion on using the funds for the oversizing of <br />the proposed sewer line and lift station on North Road. <br />Mayor Benson suggested looking into the possibility of using the <br />combined community's funds for the establishing of the fire service <br />district. There was discussion on this possibility. Mr. Schumacher <br />is to discuss this with the other communities. <br />MR. Marier moved to approve Resolution #83 -31 setting the 1984 budget <br />as presented with the stipulation that any surplus funds received <br />be entered into the contingency fund. Seconded by Mr. Reinert. <br />RESOLUTION #83 -31 <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE 1984 ANNUAL OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE CITY <br />OF LINO LAKES. <br />WHEREAS, <br />Pursuant to Charter authorization, Section 7.06, the <br />Lino Lakes City Council is required to adopt a <br />Resolution setting out all anticipated reveneus and <br />expenditures for the upcoming fiscal year. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: <br />That the following operating budget be adopted for 1984. <br />
