1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />April 18, 1985 <br />A work session of the Lino Lakes City Council was called to <br />order at 7:00 P.M. by Councilman Kulaszewicz. Members pre- <br />sent: . Marier, Bohjanen. Mayor Benson and Councilman Reinert <br />arrived later. Public Works Director, Don Volk; City Adminis- <br />trator, Randy. Schumacher; and Engineer, John Davidson were <br />also present. Residents present: Roger Kolstad and a Sher- <br />wood Green resident. <br />Mr. Davidson presented the concepts of the Municipal State <br />Aid System, the annual reporting system and the requirements <br />for construction of a Municipal State Aid Street. <br />Mr. Davidson reviewed the cooperative effort of the City with <br />Anoka County and the Rice Creek Watershed District to plan <br />and construct a total drainage system for the 4th Avenue /Main <br />Street area. Mr. Davidson will prepare a work scope plan anti <br />a financing outline and bring it to the April 22, 1985 Council <br />meeting. <br />Mr. Davidson reviewed the 80th Street project. A review had been <br />made of the Joint Powers Agreement between the City and the County <br />authorizing the County to proceed with plans and specifications. <br />The plan will outline the necessary right -of -way requirements. <br />The City then will be obligated for work as follows: <br />1. Secure the necessary right -of -way to complete the plan. <br />2. Provide for bridge replacement at the culvert east of I35. <br />It was suggested by Mr. Marier that we proceed immediately to <br />notify the Anoka Electric Cooperative that we would be asking <br />for slope easements within their power line right -of -way. <br />A meeting with Anoka County Officials, County Engineer, Rice <br />Creek Watershed District Board members regarding the County <br />ditches and maintenance and /or implementation of a project <br />to improve the ditch system will be set by the Council at the <br />next Council meeting. <br />The meeting adjourned at about 8:30 P.M. <br />These minutes were considered corrected and approved at a <br />regular meeting on May 1_, 985. -- <br />L <br />��112 r✓ /4- r, k l�alrY� <br />Marilyn G.
