Council Membercarlson introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 07 -107 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION <br />CONTRACT — LINO PARK GRADING AND TRAIL IMPROVEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the Lino Park <br />Grading and Trail Improvements, bids were received, opened and tabulated according <br />to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br />Contractor Amount of Bid <br />Jay Bros, Inc. $ 63,997.25 <br />Forest Lake Construction, Inc $ 72,182.50 <br />Rum River Contractor $ 73,115.42 <br />Dresel Construction, Inc. $ 91,927.80 <br />Peterson Excavating, Inc. $ 101,048.20 <br />TA Schifsky & Sons, Inc. $ 107,955.00 <br />Barber Construction Company, Inc. $ 113,019.00 <br />DMJ Corp. $ 116,322.00 <br />FPI Paving $ 126,609.95 <br />Engineer's Estimate $ 91,460.00 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that Jay Bros, Inc., is the lowest responsible bidder; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract <br />with Jay Bros, Inc., in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction of the <br />Lino Park Grading and Trail Improvements according to the plans and specifications <br />approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the <br />deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and <br />the next two lowest bidders shall be retained u ontract has been signed. <br />.04' Be : eso Mayor <br />u is ne Bartell, itytlerk <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 23rd day of July, 2007. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member O'Donnell and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted <br />in favor thereof: Carlson, O'Donnell, Reinert, Bergeson <br />The following voted against same: <br />none (Absent - Stoltz) <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />-153- <br />
