• • Council Member Ch3 l +a introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF LINO LAKES RESOLUTION NO. 07 -128 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY, OFFICE OF JUSTICE PROGRAMS GRANT TO PURCHASE THREE IN -SQUAD CAMERAS WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes submitted an Office of Justice Programs Grant application; and WHEREAS, the purpose of submitting the application is to purchase squad car cameras; and WHEREAS, the cameras will be used for training purposes, assist with court testimony, monitor traffic stops and contacts with the public to assure that officers deal with and treat citizens fairly on a daily basis; and for officer safety measures; and WHEREAS, the objectives in using these cameras are adherent to the Mission Statement of the Lino Lakes Police Department, and WHEREAS, the monies will be appropriated to the General Fund in the following manner: Increase Revenue — Contributions $15,000.00 Increase Expenditures — Police (4211) $15,000.00 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Lino Lakes City Council members, do hereby accept the $15,000.00 in grant funding to purchase three in -squad cameras.
