Council MemberReinert introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 07 -139 <br />FINDING A VIOLATION OF LIQUOR CODE AND IMPOSING PENALTY <br />J &K LIQUORS <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department of Lino Lakes conducted a compliance check on liquor <br />establishments on May 29, 2007; <br />WHEREAS, it was alleged that J &K Liquors violated the Lino Lakes Code of Ordinances, <br />Section 701 by selling alcohol to a person underage; <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of Lino Lakes conducted a violation hearing on September 10, <br />2007 p.m. and reached a finding that a violation did occur; <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has agreed to impose penalties consistent with the Best <br />Practices Grid; <br />WHEREAS, the recommended penalty under the Best Practices Grid is as follows: <br />1. $1,000 Financial Penalty <br />2. 5 -day suspension of license (recommended stayed) <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO <br />LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />The City of Lino Lakes hereby adopts Resolution No. 07 -134, Finding a Violation of the <br />Liquor Code and Imposing Penalty, J &K Liquor. <br />Adopted by the Council of the City of Lino Lakes this 10th day of September, 2006. <br />• <br />Julia ne Bartell, C y <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member Stoltz and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Reinert, Stoltz, Carlson, O'Donnell, Bergeson <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
