This citizen- driven plan outlines policies <br />and guidelines intended to implement the citizens' 2030 <br />Vision Plan. Cities are required to submit a Comprehensive <br />Plan to the Metropolitan Council every 10 years. See Page 3 <br />:fir the latest information and visit the city website at <br />www.ci.lino- lakes.mn.us for continuous updates. <br />Lino Lakes volunteers monitor aquatic invertebrates <br />(biigs) in Hardwood Creek within the Rice Creek <br />Watershed District as part of a Stream Health Evalua- <br />tion Program (SHEP). The City <br />of Lino Lakes is a finalist in the 2007 awards <br />competition in the category of Green Building <br />and Development for its proactive, citizen - <br />driven environmental review process of the <br />I -35E Corridor. The Alternative Urban <br />Areawide Review (AUAR) assessed the impact <br />of development on sensitive natural resource <br />areas and provided a mitigation plan for pro- <br />tecting these areas, as well as documenting and <br />planning for infrastructure needs and improve- <br />ments.
