Council MemberReinert introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 07 -154 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO. 11 -07 <br />FOR PUBLICATION <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has approved first and second reading of Ordinance <br />No. 11 -07, amending the Lino Lakes Code of Ordinances by repealing the <br />current Chapter 209 (Civil Defense) and adding a new Chapter 209 entitled <br />Emergency Management; and <br />WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 11 -07 is lengthy and MN Statute 412.191 provides <br />for a city to publish a summary of an ordinance, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council determines that the summary clearly informs the <br />public of the intent and effect of the ordinance, and <br />WHEREAS, the publication in the official newspaper will include a notice that a <br />full printed copy of the ordinance is available at City Hall, <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council approves the <br />summary in Attachment A for publication according to state law and the City <br />Charter. <br />Passed by the Lino Lakes City Council this 24th day of September 2007. <br />Jo J.
