Council Member Stoltz introduced the following resolution and moved its • adoption: CITY OF LINO LAKES COUNTY OF ANOKA RESOLUTION NO. 07 -160 AUTHORIZING AMENDMENTS TO THE JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT TO PROTECT AND MANAGE THE VADNAIS LAKE AREA WATERSHED WHEREAS, the Board of the Vadnais Lake Area Water Management Organization (VLAWMO) has determined that the existing joint powers agreement requires amendment in order to allow for the establishment of a storm water utility to enable it to generate revenues which can be used to support the operation and capital improvement projects of the water management organization; and WHEREAS, the Board has determined that amendments are required related to financing the VLAWMO in order to bring the joint powers agreement into compliance with state statutes; and • WHEREAS, VLAWMO legal counsel and the Board have prepared and recommended an amendment to the existing joint powers agreement. Now, Therefore, Be it Resolved by The City Council of the City of Lino Lakes: That the City Council approves and authorizes execution of the Amendment to Joint Powers Agreement to Protect and Manage the Vadnais Lake Area Watershed. • nne Bartell, C y Cle Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 24th day of September, 2007. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member Carlson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Stoltz,. Carlson, O'Donnell, Reinert, Bergeson The following voted against same: none Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
