• <br />Council Member Carlson introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 07 -182 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING QUOTES AND AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR <br />2007 BOULEVARD TREE PLANTING PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the City requires the installation of boulevard trees in conjunction with each <br />new residential development, and <br />WHEREAS, the developer has provided funds for the planting of such trees, and <br />WHEREAS, city staff has identified the number, type and location of boulevard trees to <br />be planted for the respective developments, and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a request for quotes for the 2007 Boulevard Tree Planting <br />project, quotes were received and tabulated according to law on October 15, 2007, and <br />the following quotes were received complying with the request: <br />Contractor Amount of Bid <br />Midwest Landscapes $14,313.00 <br />Fairs Nursery $14,674.00 <br />Mickman Brothers $16,480.00 <br />Great Northern Landscapes $14,455.00 <br />AND WHEREAS, Midwest Landscapes is the lowest responsible bidder; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LINO LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk and hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with Midwest Landscapes in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for <br />planting of approximately 52 trees. <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to retain the next lowest <br />bidder until a contract has been signed. <br />ne Bartell, City Cler <br />Adopted by the Lino Lake City Council this 22nd day of October, 2007. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member Stoltz and upon voting being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: <br />Carlson, Stoltz, Reinert, O'Donnell, Bergeson <br />41111 <br />The following voted against same: <br />none <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
