•
Lino Lakes Public Services Department
600 Town Center Parkway
Lino Lakes, MN 55014
(651) 982 -2440 Fax (651) 982 -2439
November 26, 2007
Mr. John VonDeLinde, Director
Anoka Parks and Recreation Department
550 Bunker Lake Blvd. NW
Andover, MN 55304
Re: Rice Creek North Regional Trail
Dear Mr. VonDeLinde:
The City of Lino Lakes is writing this letter in regard to the Rice Creek North Regional Trail
as proposed by Anoka County. We understand the trail will begin in Circle Pines and
continue to the Lino Lakes Town Center and YMCA Community Center.
This letter is in support of the project and for Anoka County to pursue state funding. The
City of Lino Lakes and Anoka County continue to coordinate their efforts in improving
the use and access to parks and trails within the community. Development of this trail
system will improve pedestrian connections to Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Regional Park
Reserve and beyond to the communities of Circle Pines and Blaine and into Ramsey
County's parks and trails system. We feel this project will also help address safety and
mobility issues occurring in our rapidly growing area.
If you have any further questions in regards to our support of the project, please feel
free to contact us.
Sincerely,
Mayor John Bergeson
•
