• <br />• <br />AGENDA ITEM 1G <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Julie Bartell, City Clerk <br />MEETING DATE: December 10, 2007 <br />TOPIC: Consider Adoption of Resolution No. 07 -206, <br />Approving an application for a Temporary On -Sale <br />Liquor License for the Lino Lakes Lions Club <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority (3/5 Vote Required) <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Lino Lake Lions Club has scheduled its annual prime rib dinner for Saturday, <br />March 15, 2008 to be held at St. Joseph's Church, 171 Elm Street. The Lino <br />Lakes Lions Club is requesting approval of a 1 to 4 Day Temporary On -Sale <br />Liquor License Application. The license is necessary to allow the Lions Club to <br />mix and dispense liquor that will be served as part of the dinner. <br />The applicant is required to submit an application to the city, for approval, at least <br />30 days prior to the event and city policy requires a background check on the <br />CEO each time a permit or license application is received. The Lino Lakes <br />Police Department has completed the background check and has found no <br />reason to deny the license. <br />A copy of the application, a certificate of liquor liability insurance and the results <br />of the background check are on file in the city clerk's office. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Approve Resolution No. 07 -206 approving the Lino Lakes Lions Club <br />application for a temporary on -sale liquor license. <br />2. Deny Resolution No. 07 -206. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Approve Resolution No. 07 -206 <br />
