Reminder - Joint Meeting with Task Force, Planning and Zoning <br />Board, August 27, 1986, 7:00 P.M. <br />B. Chain of Lakes Regional Park - Mr. Marier told the Council he <br />has heard rumors that the Anoka County Parks Department is plan- <br />ning to sell some lots along Marshan Lake. Mr. Bohjanen said he <br />has heard the same rumors. Itwas felt this action would violate <br />the premise on which the land was orginally taken. <br />Mr. Marier moved to let the County Parks Department know the Coun- <br />cil's feelings on this matter and invite Mr. David Torkildson to <br />a Council Meeting to discuss this matter. Mr. Bohjanen seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />C. Resignation of Joe Huss - City Accountant - Mr. Schumacher told <br />the Council Mr. Huss is resigning to accept aposition in another <br />City and asked for authorization to advertise for his replacement. <br />Mr. Marier moved to authorize the advertisement for a person of <br />similar qualifications to assume the same title and duties of <br />Mr. Huss. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />D. Preliminary Budget Hearing - The Budget Hearing is set for Sep- <br />tember 22, 1986 at 6:30 P.M. The City Clerk will send notices. <br />E. West Shadow Lake Street Design - Mr. Stallberg explained the <br />proposed design of West Shadow Lake Drive. He is proposing the <br />alignment stay as close to the original as possible and be 36 <br />feet wide. This will allow for parking on one side only. <br />F. Rice Lake Estates - Mr. Schumacher explained Circle Pines is <br />extending natural gas into this plat and Mr. Gearman the developer <br />has indicated he would prefer the homes to be built by Intercept <br />Building Systems. There is a problem in that these homes do not <br />meet the City Code definition of manufactured homes because they <br />do not have a chasis. Mr. Kluegel explained Intercept Homes are <br />panelized homes, built in a factory and transported to the sites. <br />This item will be placed on the August 27, 1986 Joint Council, <br />Planning and Zoning and Task •Force agenda. <br />G. Mr. Reinert told the press that he has never had an interest in <br />this project and probably never will have an interest. <br />Mr. Bohjanen moved to adjourn at 9:17 P.M.
