0 6 <br />(ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT 2) <br />anticipate that this will lessen the tax burden on area homeowners. <br />The City Council has long been an advocate of increased <br />economic development. New services -w-ill be demanded as our <br />cities population increases. The adoption of this plan will <br />speed along development, and at the same time expand our <br />municipal tax base. <br />In addition to this, three major housing subdivisions -were <br />either begun or are under discussion. <br />Rice Lake Estates is a subdivision that upon completion <br />will contain 100 homes. Construction was started last fall, with <br />sewer and water extensions into this area being completed last <br />fall as well. The price of these homes will range from <br />$80,000.00 to $120,000.00. <br />Another housing subdivision presented to our City <br />Council in 1986 was South Reshanau Lake Estates proposed by <br />Mr. Gary Uhde of G.M. Development. This area upon completion <br />will add 162 homes. <br />The third proposed subdivision is being presented by Mr. <br />Dennis Erickson and will have 78 homes. <br />
