020
PARKS
As residential subdivisions grow, so to must our parks
and open spaces grow to meet the needs of additional residents.
A summer grand opening is planned for Country Lakes Park located
on the South West Shore of Reshanau Lake. This park will include
a swimming area, carry -in boat launch, and fishing dock.
In 1986, the City signed a five -year lease agreement with
the Centennial School District for a piece of vacant School
District property on Birch Street where we will establish a
parking facility, baseball diamond and soccer field.
These two parks will become fine additions to the growing
number of recreational facilities available to our residents.
CABLE
The advent of cable television to Lino Lakes has brought with
it many possibilities for the future. One such possibility is
the broadcasting of City Council meetings and other public
meetings to the public. An experiment of that nature took
place at City Hall in February. It is just one of the many ways
the City is able to keep up with the time and technologies of
the day.
