CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />Resolution No. 49 - 87 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF TRUNK WATER <br />MAIN INSTALLATION FOR SOUTHEAST WATER DISTRICT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the <br />installation of water mains in the Southeast <br />Water District, bids were received, opened and <br />tabulated according to law, and the following <br />bids were received complying with the advert- <br />isement: <br />Ranger Constructors, Inc. <br />Rice Lake Contracting <br />Orfei Contracting, Inc. <br />Bonine Excavating, Inc. <br />S. M. Hentges & Sons, Inc. <br />Kenko, Inc. <br />Albrecht Excavating <br />Landwehr Heavy Moving <br />Northdale Construction <br />Lake Area Utility <br />Frattalone Excavating <br />$396,991.75 <br />416,966.25 <br />420,353.91 <br />428,577.75 <br />429,074.58 <br />452,456.85 <br />455,876.00 <br />457,826.00 <br />467,090.75 <br />489,287.55 <br />542,833.25 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that Ranger Constructors, Inc. of <br />Eveleth, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder, <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LINO <br />LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed <br />to enter into the attached contract with Ranger Con- <br />structors of Eveleth, Minnesota in the name of the City <br />of Lino Lakes for the installation of trunk water mains <br />according to the plans and specifications therefor <br />approved by the City Council and on file in the office <br />of the City Clerk. <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to re- <br />turn forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with <br />their bids, except that the deposits of the successful <br />bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained <br />until a contract has been signed. <br />Adopted by the City Counc o Lakes th day of <br />September, 1987. <br />enjam.n G.
