City of Lino Lakes <br />RESOLUTION 50 -87 <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE 1987 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 473.864 allows and encourages general purpose <br />local units of government to prepare comprehensive plans; and, <br />WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Land Planning Act of 1976 requires that <br />Amendments to local comprehensive plans be submitted to the <br />Metropolitan Council for review; and, <br />WHEREAS, The City of Lino Lakes has prepared and submitted a comprehensive <br />Plan Amendment to the Metropolitan Council on March 25, 1987; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Council on August 10, 1987, approved the <br />Comprehensive Plan Amendment with three amended recommendations <br />including: <br />1. That the proposed 2000 urban service addition is approved <br />by that development is to be accommodated only within the <br />flow constraints of the forcemain serving Lino Lakes at <br />this time. <br />2. That to address the capacity constraint in the forcemain <br />in the Lino Lakes sewer system that the City prepare and <br />submit a Comprehensive Sewer Plan Amendment with proposed <br />improvements in service. If a Metropolitan Interceptor <br />is needed the City should indicate that in the Comprehensive <br />Sewer Plan Amendment and make the request as soon as <br />practicable. <br />3. (As amended) That the City consider an overall density <br />guideline of one housing unit per ten acres computed on <br />a 40 acre basis within the rural expansion district; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Lino Lakes in accordance <br />with Minnesota Statutes hereby adopts the revised 1987 Comprehensive <br />Plan Amendment dated September, 1987 as a statement of its <br />policies in the areas of land use, transportation, parks and <br />open space, and sewer extention. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this Fourteenth day of September, <br />1987 <br />Ben�amin G'.
