City of Lino Lakes RESOLUTION 50 -87 A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE 1987 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes 473.864 allows and encourages general purpose local units of government to prepare comprehensive plans; and, WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Land Planning Act of 1976 requires that Amendments to local comprehensive plans be submitted to the Metropolitan Council for review; and, WHEREAS, The City of Lino Lakes has prepared and submitted a comprehensive Plan Amendment to the Metropolitan Council on March 25, 1987; and, WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Council on August 10, 1987, approved the Comprehensive Plan Amendment with three amended recommendations including: 1. That the proposed 2000 urban service addition is approved by that development is to be accommodated only within the flow constraints of the forcemain serving Lino Lakes at this time. 2. That to address the capacity constraint in the forcemain in the Lino Lakes sewer system that the City prepare and submit a Comprehensive Sewer Plan Amendment with proposed improvements in service. If a Metropolitan Interceptor is needed the City should indicate that in the Comprehensive Sewer Plan Amendment and make the request as soon as practicable. 3. (As amended) That the City consider an overall density guideline of one housing unit per ten acres computed on a 40 acre basis within the rural expansion district; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Lino Lakes in accordance with Minnesota Statutes hereby adopts the revised 1987 Comprehensive Plan Amendment dated September, 1987 as a statement of its policies in the areas of land use, transportation, parks and open space, and sewer extention.
