COUNCIL MEETING <br />January 26, 1987 <br />City Engineer - Mr. Reinert moved to appoint TKDA. <br />Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />City Planner - Mr. Bisel moved to table this appoint- <br />ment until the Planning and Zoning Board is appointed. <br />Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Fiscal Agent - Mr. Marier moved to appoint Springsted, Inc. <br />Mr. Reinert seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Weed Inspector - Mr. Marier moved to appoint Alan Robinson. <br />Mr. Bisel seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Fire Marshall - Mr. Schumacher noted that the Pollution <br />Control Agency asked that individual Cities endorse <br />one person for their records. Mr. Bisel moved <br />to appoint Rick Bangert. Mr. Bohjanen seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Civil Defense Director - Mr. Bohjanen moved to appoint <br />Charles Cape. Mr. Marier seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Health Officer - Mr. Marier moved to appoint Anoka County <br />Health Department. Mr. Bisel seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Legal Newspaper - Mayor Benson accepted the letters <br />of applications from Sell Publications, Press <br />Publications, Circulating Pines and Anoka County <br />Union and Shopper. Mr. Marier moved to appoint <br />the Quad Press (Press Publications). Mr. Bohjanen <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Legal Depository - Mr. Schumacher noted the list of <br />depositories currently used by the City. He added <br />if the staff was considering investing outside <br />of those named on the list, he would ask for Council <br />approval. Mr. Reinert moved to approve the list as <br />submitted. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Planning and Zoning Board - <br />Mr. Bisel referred to his letter submitted to the Council <br />regarding the size of the Board. He moved to reduce <br />the Board from seven to five members to expidite the <br />matters that come before this Board. Mr. Reinert seconded <br />the motion. Mr. Hawkins noted that if this Board is <br />established by ordinance, an ordinance will have to <br />be prepared reducing the number of Board members. Mr. <br />Marier felt that a seven member board be maintained <br />to assure a quorum. Mayor Benson said he has wrestled <br />with this idea and noted his reasoning. <br />
