1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />015 <br />COUNCIL MEETING SEPTEMBER 14, 1987 <br />Mayor Benson asked that this be scheduled for a future agenda and ask <br />Mrs. Foster to attend that meeting. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Consideration of Civil Defense Request for Display Cabinet - Mr. <br />Reinert moved to include this item in the 1988 Budget process. Mr. <br />Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Consideration of Appointing Election Judges - Mrs. Anderson has <br />submitted a list of potential election judges for Council approval. <br />Mr. Marier moved to approve this list. Mr. Bisel seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Budget Meetings Schedule - Budget meetings were scheduled for <br />September 21, September 28 and October 5, 1987. Meetings will start <br />at 6:00 P.M. <br />Consideration of Request from A. T. Gearman Development - Langauge <br />Change in Developers Agreement - Mr. Schumacher explained that Mr. <br />Gearman's Agreement does not allow for sale of lots to another <br />developer without pay off of all assessments. Current City Developers <br />agreements has this provision. Mr. Hawkins said that Mr. Gearman's <br />request is consistant with what is common in most communities. <br />Mr. Marier moved to approve the langauge change in Mr. Gearman's <br />Development Agreement. Mr. Bisel seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Regional Park Bow Hunting - It was noted that Anoka County had <br />approved bow hunting in the Chain of Lakes Regional Park. <br />Air Plane Traffic - Mr. Reinert noted that there appears to be a lot <br />of jet traffic in the Lino Lakes area and asked if the plane traffic <br />pattern has changed. Are flights being diverted to circling over the <br />north suburbs rather than the south suburbs where complaints have been <br />so numerous. Mr. Schumacher will get more information from the <br />Metropolitan Airport Commission. <br />Letter from Circle Pines Requesting $1,200 for Centennial Fire <br />Commission Chairman - This letter is requesting that this Council <br />consider the appropriateness of compensation for the Chairman since he <br />is required to live outside of the fire district and the position does <br />require several meetings a year and some effort on his part. It was <br />noted that within the bylaws there is a provision for compensation of <br />the Chairman. Mayor Benson asked Mr. Schumacher to get clarification <br />of this matter. <br />PAGE 14 <br />
