ADVERTISEIVENT FOR BIDS Notice is hereby given that sealed bids wil I be received, publ icly opened, and read aloud by representatives of the City of Lino Lakes, Minnesota at the City Hal I, 1189 Main Street, Lino Lakes, Minnesota 55014, at 10:00 AM, CST, on July 22, 1988, for furnishing all work and materials for the construction of 1988 Utility and Street Improvements, South Reshanau Lake Estates, Phase 2, consisting of the fol lowing approximate quantities: Sanitary Sewer - 8" and 10" Watermai n - 6" and 12" Storm Sewer - 1 2" through 27" Class 5 Gravel Concrete Curb and Gutter Bituminous Mixture Casing Pipe Jacking - 22" Diameter Proposal forms, contract documents, draw by Toltz, King, Duvall, Anderson and inspection in the office of the City Engineers, whose address is 2500 Amer Paul, Minnesota 55101. 1 ,700 LF 2,200 LF 530 LF 1 ,500 TN 3,000 LF 6 00 TN 50 LF ings and specifications as prepared Associates, Inc., are on f I l e for Clerk and in the off ice of the scan National Bank Building, Saint Contractors desiring drawings, specifications and related documents for the purpose of submitting a bid may secure them from the Engineers upon deposit of $40.00 for each set. The deposit for one set of drawings and specifications w i l I be refunded to each Contractor who submits a bona fide bid and returns the plans and specifications in good condition within 15 days after the date for the opening of bids. Twenty Dol lays ($20.00) wil I be refunded for deposits made to secure more than one set of documents, deposits made to secure documents for subcontractors and material suppliers and also to Contractors who fail to bid. To secure a refund al I documents must be returned in good condition within 1 5 days after the day for the opening of bids. No bid will be considered unless it is securely sealed in an envelope and filed with the City Clerk prior to the time noted above for the closing of bids. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or cashier's check payable to the City of Lino Lakes in an amount not less than five percent (5 %) of the total b i d as a guarantee that the bidder, if successful, w i l l enter into a contract with the Owner for the work described in the proposal. This deposit wil I be subject to forfeiture as provided by law. The deposits for the three lowest bidders wil I be retained by the Owner until the contract has been awarded and executed but not longer -than sixty (60) days. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days fol lowing the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informal sties or to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder, in the best interest of the Owner. -1- 9185
