Buildings shall be sited close to streets, with doors and windows facing the street. Parking lots <br />along street frontages shall be minimized. Drive - throughs, such as for fast food <br />restaurants and banks, are acceptable in Mixed -Use and Commercial Districts only if they maintain a <br />continuous street frontage. Driveways shall not come between the sidewalk and building <br />entrances (center). Multiple curb cuts are prohibited (right); only one curb cut is allowed per building, not <br />to. exceed 14 feet in width (left). Other, more "standard" drive - through configurations are acceptable in Highway <br />Commercial Districts. <br />Where Build -to Lines do not Govern. For locations where there are no Build-to Lines, buildings <br />must be sited in one of the two following ways: <br />• Within the minimum and maximum setbacks from a street as shown in Table 3, or <br />• Set farther back from the street, but with their primary entrances connected to the street with <br />a landscaped walkway. Landscaped walkways are discussed in the section on Landscape <br />Requirements, below: <br />While it is recommended that front facades and entries face towards streets, side -on orientations <br />are acceptable if the side elevation is within 20 feet of a street right -of -way and windows and <br />entrances constitute at least 30 percent of the facade length. <br />20 <br />
