AGENDA ITEM 7D <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: Scott Brink, TKDA <br />COUNCIL MEETING DATE: February 23, 2004 <br />TOPIC: Resolution No. 04 -29, Approving Plans and Specifications and <br />Authorizing Advertisement for Bids for the 62' Street <br />Reconstruction Project. <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The plans and specifications for the 62' Street Reconstruction project were <br />ordered by the City Council. Preparation of the plans is substantially complete, <br />including reviews by the Rice Creek Watershed District, and the Minnesota <br />Department of Transportation. City staff has prepared the plans and <br />specifications for this work and is requesting Council approval to advertise for <br />bids. The project schedule is as follows: <br />February 23, 2004 <br />April 2, 2004 <br />April 12, 2004 <br />August, 2004 <br />Approve Plans and Authorize Advertisement for Bids <br />Open Bids <br />Consider Award of Contract <br />Substantial Completion of Construction <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Return to staff for further review. <br />2. Adopt Resolution Number 04 -29, approving plans and specifications and <br />authorizing advertisement for bids for 62' Street Reconstruction Project. <br />3. Not adopt Resolution Number 04 -29.. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Option No 2 - Staff recommends that Resolution No 04 -29 be adopted. <br />
