• <br />• <br />• <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 04-75 <br />AUTHORIZING CITY TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF <br />PUBLIC SERVICES FOR THE 2004 CITIZEN CORPS PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes met at its regularly scheduled meeting of <br />May 24, 2004, and; <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes applied for a 2004 Citizen Corps Program Grant from the <br />Minnesota Department of Public Safety, and; <br />WHEREAS, on 19 April 2004, the city was informed that it had been awarded the grant in an <br />amount estimated to be $54,000 for funding the new position of volunteer coordinator and for <br />uniforms and equipment for new police reserve officers, and; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes hereby <br />approves Resolution No. 04 -75 authorizing the City to enter into a grant agreement with the <br />Minnesota Department of Public Safety to receive funding for the volunteer coordinator position <br />and purchase equipment for police reserve officers. <br />David J. Pecchia, Chief of Police and Gordon Heitke, City Administrator are hereby authorized to <br />execute such agreements and amendments, as are necessary to implement the project on behalf of <br />the City of Lino Lakes. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 24th day of May, 2004. <br />ATTEST: <br />
