CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 04 -81 <br />• RESOLUTION REJECTING ALL BIDS AND AUTHORIZE RE- BIDDING — BIRCH /HODGSON <br />STREET IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT. <br />• <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the Birch /Hodgson <br />Street Improvements project, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and <br />the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br />Contractor Amount of Bid <br />Arnt Construction Co., Inc. $ 677,698.79 <br />Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. $ 688,682.92 <br />Magnum Company LLC $ 747,500.23 <br />Engineer's Estimate $ 560,078.10 <br />AND WHEREAS, according to City Charter, the City can not award a contract that exceeds the <br />engineer's estimate by more than 10 %; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO <br />LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to reject all bids for the construction of the <br />Birch /Hodgson Street Improvements project according to the plans and specifications <br />approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br />2. The Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the <br />Construction Bulletin an advertisement for re -bid for the making of such improvement under <br />such approved plans and specifications. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 14th day of June 2004. <br />J n J. geson, Mayor <br />
