'IF
Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director
August 23, 2004
Consideration of Resolution 04 -125, Approving Parks,
Natural Open Space /Greenways and Trail System
Plan
Simple Majority
Staff has been working since last fall with our planning consultant on
preparing /compiling information for the Parks, Natural Open Space /Greenways and
Trail System Plan. The purpose of this project is to tie together various plans into a
cohesive, consistent, and complementary vision of the future. The plan also focuses on
development implementation strategies in order to make the plan a reality.
After several meetings with the City Council, Park Board, Environmental Board and
Planning and Zoning members, as well as an Open House on June 7th, the Parks,
Natural Open Space /Greenways and Trail System Plan is ready for approval and
implementation. There have not been any changes to the plan since the July 21st City
Council Work Session where Jeff Schonebauer, of Brauer and Associates, reviewed the
final draft of the Parks, Greenways, and Trail System Plan.
OPTIONS:
1.
