City Council <br />Lake Drive/I -35W Coop Agr. <br />October 12, 2004 <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 04 -146 <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING FUNDING FROM THE <br />MINNESOTA DEPARMENT OF TRANPORTATION THROUGH THE <br />MUNICIPAL AGREEMENT PROGRAM FOR FISCAL YEAR 2006 <br />(CSAH 23/1 -35W INTERCHANGE) <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes finds, as previously documented by Mn /DOT, that <br />the intersection of Lake Drive and 1 -35 W along with the adjacent approaches to and <br />departures from the attendant roadways are in need of substantial changes to abate <br />congestion and reduce accidents due to current traffic volumes; and <br />WHEREAS, the interchange currently experiences severe backups at the off ramps due <br />to operational issues with the stop controlled intersections; and <br />WHEREAS, the south ramps are not aligned across from one another and uncontrolled <br />private accesses exist immediately south of the ramps; and <br />• WHEREAS, the City Council has initiated engineering studies to identify corrective <br />measures to better manage the existing problem; and <br />WHERAS, the City is committed to constructing the project if it is chosen for the <br />Municipal Agreement Program. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lino Lakes, <br />Anoka County, Minnesota on behalf of the City of Lino Lakes does hereby request <br />funding from the Minnesota Department of Transportation through its Municipal <br />Agreement Program for Fiscal Year 2006. <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 12th day of October 2004. <br />o <br />Ann BI r, City Clerk <br />• <br />n J.
