Studenski, City Engineer <br />COUNCIL MEETING DATE: December 13, 2004 <br />TOPIC: Resolution No. 04 -181, Authorizing Acquisition of Right -of- <br />Way /Easements, Holly Drive Improvements Project <br />VOTE REQUIRED: Simple Majority <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Due to the continued development and growth of the area increasing the traffic <br />and the deteriorating condition of Holly Drive between 12th Avenue and Holly <br />Court, the City Council approved and awarded a construction contract for the <br />Holly Drive Improvements project. As part of this project, acquisition of additional <br />right -of -way and drainage /utility easements is necessary for the completion of <br />the street and storm sewer construction. <br />City Staff is requesting authorization for payment of acquisition up to and equal <br />to the amount detailed in the attached appraisal dated December 3, 2004 for a <br />total in the amount of $19,900.00. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1. Adopt Resolution 04 -181, Authorizing Acquisition of Right -of- <br />Way /Easements, Holly Drive Improvements Project. <br />2. Not Adopt Resolution No. 04 -181. <br />3. Return to staff for further review. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Option No. 1 - Staff recommends that Resolution No. 04 -181 be adopted. <br />
