He said trucks belong <br />in industrial areas and nothing larger than a pickup truck <br />should be parked in residential areas. He noted that you do <br />not see semi - trucks parked in the residential areas south of <br />Ash Street in Shoreview. <br />Mayor Benson explained to Mr. Clausen that several truck <br />owners had appeared before the Council asking that the <br />current ordinance be modified so that they could legally <br />park their large trucks at their residences. He also noted <br />that there will be a meeting shortly with these residents to <br />discuss the current ordinance and said Mr. Clausen would be <br />welcome to sit in on this meeting. The Clerk was asked to <br />let Mr. Clausen know the date and time of the meeting. <br />Mr. Clausen thanked the Council for listening to his <br />concern. <br />Bill Bohjanen - Mr. Bohjanen explained that the Circle /Lex <br />VFW has voted to purchase the first emergency warning siren <br />for the City of Lino Lakes. The cost of the siren is <br />approximately $16,000.00. He noted that it should be <br />installed by mid summer. The location is yet to be <br />determined. Mr. Bohjanen also told the Council that the VFW <br />has contributed $1,000.00 to the Centennial Fire Department <br />for the purchase of a projector. <br />CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION NO. 36 - 88 SETTING <br />A PUBLIC HEARING FOR VACATION OF STREETS AND EASEMENTS IN - <br />ULMER'S RICE LAKE THIRD ADDITION <br />Mr. Bisel moved to approve Resolution No. 36 - 88. Mr. <br />Bohjanen seconded the motion.
