117,2 <br />COUNCIL MEETING JUNE 13, 1988 <br />Mr. Reinert moved to approve the authorization for <br />professional services. Mr. Bisel seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Reinert expressed concern regarding funding of <br />maintenance of these parks after they are established and <br />deeded to the City. He asked if the Park Board has ever <br />requested a projection of maintenance costs for the parks in <br />Lino Lakes. He noted that the budget requirement for park _ <br />maintenance may be very healthy in the future. He suggested <br />that since some parks serve specific areas, maybe the City <br />should look at homeowners associations maintaining some of <br />these parks or possibly user fees to offset costs. He asked <br />that this concern be placed on the next Park Board agenda. <br />Mr. Bisel noted that if area users are charged this would be <br />in effect getting hit twice. <br />CLERK'S REPORT - MARILYN ANDERSON <br />Request for Beer Permit, St. Joseph's Parish - Mrs. Anderson <br />explained that this request is for the August Festival held <br />annually by St. Josephs. Mr. Reinert moved to approve this <br />request. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />with Mr. Bisel abstaining. Mrs. Anderson told the Council <br />that she would not issue the license until a certificate of <br />insurance is received in her office. <br />Request for Gambling License, St. Joseph's Parish - Mrs. <br />Anderson explained that this request is also for the August - <br />Festival. Mr. Reinert moved to approve this request. Mr. <br />Bisel seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION NO. 38 - 88 CALLING FOR A <br />HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR MAIN STREET IMPROVEMENT, <br />JULY 11, 1988, 7:45 P.M. <br />Mr. Schumacher explained that Anoka County has completed the <br />reconstruction of Main Street. The Charter requires that <br />the Council pass a resolution declaring the cost of the <br />improvement and call for a hearing on the special <br />assessments. Mr. Bisel moved to approve Resolution No. 38 - <br />88. Mr. Bohjanen seconded the motion. Mr. Bisel asked if <br />the rough portion of Main Street would be repaired. Mr. <br />Schumacher said he had contacted the County Engineer and was <br />told that it would be repaired this summer. <br />Voting on the motion, motion carried unanimously. <br />
