§1007.051 FARMING OPERATIONS. <br />All farms in existence upon the effective date of this ordinance and all farms which are <br />brought into the city by annexation shall be a permitted use. All dwelling units and structures for <br />processing of farm goods shall require a building permit and conform to all requirements of the <br />Building Code. The City Council may require any new farm operation to secure a conditional <br />use permit in the event of the following: <br />(1) The farm is adjacent to or within four hundred (400) feet of any dwelling unit and may <br />be detrimental to living conditions by emitting noise, odors, vibrations, hazards to safety, and the <br />like. <br />(2) The farming operations are so intensive as to constitute an industrial type use consisting <br />of the compounding, processing, and packaging of products for wholesale or retail trade and <br />further that such operations may tend to become permanent industrial type operation that cannot <br />be terminated as can a normal farming operation. <br />3-81 <br />
