The Planning and Zoning Board has approved this
request.
Mr. Bisel moved to approve P & Z application No. 89 -04. Mr.
Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously.
Set Public Hearing for Rezone of Rice Creek Chain of Lakes
County Regional Park Reserve to Public Semi - Public - Mr.
Bohjanen moved to set the public hearing for June 12, 1989 at
7:30 P.M. Mr. Reinert seconded the motion. Mr. Schumacher explained that this matter will be
on the P & Z agenda for this coming Wednesday.
UPDATE ON STATUS OF EMERGENCY WARNING SYSTEM INSTALLATION
Mr. Volk presented a map showing the location of the two
sirens currently in operation and the areas that they cover.
He noted that one additional siren is in the 1989 budget and
the VFW has agreed to purchase the fourth siren. Both of
these sirens will be installed this summer. Mr. Volk
explained that by the end of 1990, 90% of the populated area
in Lino Lakes will be covered with warning sirens. Mr.
Bohjanen indicated that the VFW may also help the City of
Centerville upgrade their siren system.
LIAISON REPORTS
Planning and Zoning Board, Mayor Benson /Mr. Bisel - Mr. Bisel
noted that the Tilsen multi - family subdivision was reviewed
by the P & Z Board and there was discussion of the building
that was illegally installed on the Chomonix Golf Course.
Park Board, Mr. Neal - Mr. Neal noted that the Park Board has
not yet met for the month of May. He said the Arbor Day
celebration was very good and felt everyone involved did an
excellent job.
