1 <br />1 <br />COUNCIL MEETING JUNE 12, 1989 <br />Mr. Simonson addressed the issue of screening from the park <br />and asked why the City did not put up a ten foot fence. He <br />noted that already he has had one broken windshield resulting <br />from kids playing in the park. He said he is trying to keep <br />the customers cars safe. <br />Steven McConnell, 851 Lois Lane said he was concerned about <br />the fence on the north side of the property and he did not <br />want Lois Lane to become the test drive area for repaired <br />cars. <br />Mr. Bisel moved to close the public hearing at 8:18 P.M. Mr. <br />Neal seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Bisel moved to grant a conditional use permit to Robert <br />Simonson for a auto repair garage at 7860 Lake Drive and the <br />motion is to include the fourteen options listed on Mr. <br />Miller's memorandum and to include "No Parking" signage on <br />Lois Lane, the fence on the east side of the lot to be <br />extended to include that park to the side of the building to <br />be of board on board (area to be fenced is from current fence <br />on the north to the current fence on the south) on south <br />side, fence be shared in cost with Park Department and Mr. <br />Simonson is to meet with Mr. Volk to design the fence to <br />accomplish both uses, and this permit is to be in force for <br />two (2) months and then if all items are not completed at the <br />end of two (2) months, the permit will be pulled, if <br />completed, permit will be in force until the next Conditional <br />Use Permit review. In addition, selling of cars on an <br />occasional basis will be acceptable. Mayor Benson restated <br />the motion and then seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />PUBLIC HEARING — PRELIMINARY PLAT REVIEW, ROHAVIC OAKS, 2ND <br />ADDITION <br />Mayor Benson opened the public hearing at 8:26 P.M. Mr. <br />Stahlberg explained that this is a continuation of the <br />development plan for Section No. 31. A review of the <br />preliminary plat has been completed and he recommended <br />approval of the preliminary plat. <br />Mayor Benson asked if there was anyone to speak to or for <br />the preliminary plat. Mr. Schumacher asked Mr. Stahlberg if <br />the right -of -way issue was resolved? Mr. Stahlberg said yes. <br />Mr. Neal moved to close the public hearing at 8:28 P.M. <br />Mayor Benson seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Mr. Bisel moved to approve the preliminary plat of Rohavic <br />Oaks, 2nd Addition. Mr. Neal seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />d <br />
