1 <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />JUNE 12, 1989 <br />The four (4) stipulations are listed in Mr. Miller's <br />memorandum dated May 31, 1989 to the Council. <br />Mayor Benson asked if there were anyone in the audience to <br />speak for or against this request. There were none. <br />Mr. Bisel moved to close the public hearing at 8:45 P.M. Mr. <br />Neal seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Bisel said he was concerned about the pollution created <br />by spraying paint. Mr. Goertz explained that a paint booth <br />would be constructed that contains filter. The Fire Marshall <br />will inspect the completed facility. <br />Mr. Bisel moved to approve the CUP request form Klosner- <br />Goertz for 432 Lilac Street contingent upon the criteria set <br />by the P & Z Board and the City Planner. Mr. Neal seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />PUBLIC HEARING - DEVELOPMENT PLAN, JUSTEN HOME BUILDERS <br />Mayor Benson opened the public hearing at 8:48 P.M. Mr. <br />Miller explained that the P & Z Board have not completed <br />their review of this development and asked that this item be <br />tabled and placed on the June 26th agenda. He apologized to <br />everyone who came this evening for the inconvenience. <br />Mr. Bisel moved to continue this public hearing to 7:30 P.M., <br />June 26, 1989. Mr. Neal seconded the motion. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Mrs. Blaylock presented a petition against rezoning the <br />property planned for townhomes (Justen Home Builders) to the <br />Clerk. She indicated to the Council that she would fight <br />this issue and noted that the area residents do not <br />understand what is going on around them. <br />Mrs. Beverly Landers, 7181 Sunrise Drive told the Council <br />that she would like to see the area planned for town homes <br />used instead for a walking and hiking nature park like the <br />one in Blaine. <br />Mike Blegen, 7133 Sunrise Drive explained that there are not <br />enough roads in the area to handle the increase in traffic. <br />He asked what is the Council thinking about? <br />Linda Kyllander, 87 Fairmont Avenue asked how many times can <br />the public hearing be postponed? Mayor Benson explained the <br />problem was that the developer was not ready with all his <br />material. <br />Mike Blegen asked if it were possible to notify the residents <br />by placing a notice in the paper of the next public hearing <br />on this matter. <br />6 <br />
