1 <br />1 <br />COUNCIL MEETING DECEMBER 26, 1989 <br />Acting Mayor Reinert called the regular meeting of the Lino <br />Lakes City Council to order Monday, December 26, 1989 at 7:05 <br />P.M. Council Members present: Neal and Bisel. Council <br />Members absent: Bohjanen. Mayor Benson was absent. City <br />Attorney, Bill Hawkins; Planner, John Miller; Chief of <br />Police, Dean Campbell; Public Works Director, Don Volk; <br />Engineer's, Darrell Schneider and Dan Boxrud; Accountant, <br />Paula Romocky; Building Inspector, Pete Kluegel; <br />Administrator, Randy Schumacher and Clerk- Treasurer Marilyn <br />Anderson were also present. <br />Acting Mayor Reinert noted several adjustments to the Agenda. <br />He asked that Item 13B be removed and that Items 8C, 8D and <br />8E be added. These items will be detailed later in these <br />minutes. Mr. Bisel moved to set the agenda as amended by <br />Acting Mayor Reinert. Mr. Neal seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Work Session, December 11, 1989 - Mr. Bisel moved to approve <br />these minutes as presented. Mr. Neal seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Regular Council Meeting, December 11, 1989 -- Mr. Neal moved <br />to approve these minutes as presented. Mr. Bisel seconded <br />the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL OF DISBURSEMENTS, DECEMBER 26, <br />1989 <br />Mr. Bisel moved to approve the disbursements as presented. <br />Mr. Neal seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />OPEN MIKE <br />Mr. Curtis Knieff, 6856 Rustic Lane addressed the Council on <br />the matter of easement acquisition for storm water retention <br />on his property and the property of several of his neighbors. <br />He noted that the City had hired an appraiser and he and his <br />neighbors have not received a written appraisal of their <br />property. Mr. Knieff noted that the appraisal is <br />considerably lower than the one made about a year ago and <br />asked why there was a discrepancy. Mr. Hawkins said that he <br />was not prepared to speak on this matter this evening. <br />However, he had received a telephone call on this matter <br />earlier this month. This appraisal is for a different use <br />and he explained that he has written a letter to Mr. Knieff <br />explaining the difference. Mr. Knieff said he was not <br />satisfied with this appraisal and asked the Council if they <br />wanted to go to court with this matter. Mr. Hawkins <br />explained that his property is one of about thirty (30) or <br />more properties involved in this project and he was preparing <br />to go to court on all of the properties.
