COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PLAN <br />APRIL 26, 1990 <br />- Trunk Water Main Along Birch Street to Brandywood Estates, <br />Pheasant Hills and the school district property. The <br />approximate cost of this extension is $325,000.00. <br />All of the above mentioned projects appear to be 1991 <br />improvements with some extending into 1992 or beyond. <br />Mr. Boxrud noted that the Pavement Management Plan will be <br />completed in the next couple of months. Another Council Work <br />Session is planned for review of the completed study. <br />Water System, I35E /Main Street. This system would be <br />developed in response to development pressure in the area. <br />White Tail Ridge. Mr. Boxrud felt that this would probably <br />be a marginal project. There are concerns regarding the <br />heavy assessment and what properties would share in the <br />assessment.. <br />Cedar Street /I35E. The property is owned by Acton <br />Construction and Clyde Rehbein. If the subdivision <br />progresses, it will require sanitary sewer and water. <br />Several decisions will be made prior to proceeding with <br />this development. <br />- Municipal Water for Above Referenced Area. <br />The time table for the above improvement is 1992 <br />- 24th Avenue, Phase II to 80th Street is a possible 1993 <br />improvement. <br />- 24th Avenue, Phase III to the Lino Lakes boundary is a <br />possible 1994 improvement. <br />Mr. Boxrud noted that other projects may come out of the <br />projects that have already been started or will be starting <br />in the next year or two (2). <br />Council Member Neal asked about the 49 /CASH Intersection <br />improvement and if My- Place -On- The -Lake and the Darrell Shaw <br />property will be acquired for this improvement. Mr. Boxrud <br />noted that area is being shown as commercial, however it is <br />not know how much of the area is usable because of DNR and <br />CORP of Engineers restrictions. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />Fire Chief Gay said that priority No. 1 is getting Fire <br />Station No. 2 constructed in 1992 so that it will be <br />functional by January 1, 1993. The Centennial Fire District <br />Joint Powers Agreement contains general standards for this <br />facility. <br />PAGE 2 <br />
