1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />111 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 09 - 90 <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The City Council of the City of Lino Lakes has determined that <br />an emergency exists in the City of Lino Lakes as the result of <br />intent by certain individuals to keep non - domesticated animals <br />within the City. <br />The Lino Lakes City Code is amended by adding a chapter <br />regulating the keeping of non - domesticated animals in the City <br />of Lino Lakes to read as follows: <br />Section 1. Definitions. <br />A. Non - Domesticated Animal. Any animal, reptile or fowl, <br />which is not naturally tame or gentle but normally is wild in <br />nature or disposition and which, because of its size, vicious <br />nature or other characteristics would constitute a danger to <br />human life or property. <br />Section 2. Animals Prohibited. <br />No person shall keep, maintain or harbor within the City of <br />Lino Lakes any of the following animals: <br />law. <br />1) Any animal or species prohibited by Minnesota or Federal <br />2) Any non - domesticated animal or species, including but <br />not limited to the following: <br />a) Any skunk, whether captured in the wild, <br />domestically raised, de- scented or not de- scented, vaccinated <br />against rabies or not vaccinated against rabies; <br />b) Any large cat of the family Felidae such as lions, <br />tiger, jaguars, leopards, cougars and ocelots, except commonly <br />accepted domesticated house cats; <br />c) Any member of the family Canidae, such as wolves, <br />foxes, coyotes, dingoes and jackals, except domesticated dogs; <br />d) Any poisonous viper; <br />e) Any other animal which is not listed explicitly <br />above, but which can be reasonably defined by the terms in <br />Section 2 of this ordinance, including but not limited to, bears <br />and badgers. <br />-1- <br />
