COUNCIL MEETING MAY 29, 1990 <br />should be trying to attract a higher level of housing. <br />The Council took a ten (10) minute break at 9:22 P.M. <br />PUBLIC HEARING, SUNRISE MEADOWS ASSESSMENTS, RESOLUTION NO. <br />28 - 90 <br />Mr. Schneider explained that the assessment is complete and a <br />copy is on file in the City Clerks office. Mr. Schneider <br />used the overhead projector to show what area is involved and <br />how the assessment was determined. Mr. Schneider also <br />presented a cost summary to the Council. <br />Mr. Jack Menkveld, developer of Sunrise Meadows, was present <br />and noted that the project was a success. He explained that <br />he has already paid over $800,000.00 in pending assessments <br />and expects that nearly all of the assessments within Sunrise <br />Meadows will be paid yet this year. <br />Mrs. Beverly Landers, 7181 Sunrise Drive asked the Council if <br />her property is still included within the MUSA boundary. <br />Mrs. Landers was told that the east one half (1/2) of her <br />lot as well as all the lots on the west side of Sunrise Drive <br />are in the MUSA boundary. Mayor Bisel explained why a <br />portion of those lots are included. Mrs. Landers said she <br />was very upset because she felt that the residents on her <br />side of the street had been promised that they would be <br />removed from the MUSA boundary. <br />Council Member Reinert moved to close the public hearing at <br />10:07 P.M. Council Member Bohjanen seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />Council Member Reinert moved to approve Option No. 1 of Mr. <br />Schneider's "green sheet" and adopt Resolution No. 28 - 90.- <br />Council Member Bohjanen seconded the motion. On a roll call <br />vote, motion carried unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 28 - 90 can be found at the end of these <br />minutes. <br />DESIGN REVIEW BOARD REPORT - JOHN MILLER <br />Set Public Hearing for Preliminary Plat, Birch Woods, June <br />25, 1990, 7:15 P.M. - Council Member Bohjanen moved to set <br />this public hearing. Council Member Neal seconded the <br />motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Set Public Hearing for Conditional Use Permit for Brian <br />Soderman for Rock Gardens Nursery for June 25, 1990, 7:30 <br />P.M. - Council Member Reinert moved to set this public <br />hearing. Council Member BoNanen seconded the motion. Mr. <br />Miller was asked if this business is in operation. It was <br />explained that they have installed some of the bins for their <br />PAGE 7 <br />
