COUNCIL MEETING MAY 29, 1990 should be trying to attract a higher level of housing. The Council took a ten (10) minute break at 9:22 P.M. PUBLIC HEARING, SUNRISE MEADOWS ASSESSMENTS, RESOLUTION NO. 28 - 90 Mr. Schneider explained that the assessment is complete and a copy is on file in the City Clerks office. Mr. Schneider used the overhead projector to show what area is involved and how the assessment was determined. Mr. Schneider also presented a cost summary to the Council. Mr. Jack Menkveld, developer of Sunrise Meadows, was present and noted that the project was a success. He explained that he has already paid over $800,000.00 in pending assessments and expects that nearly all of the assessments within Sunrise Meadows will be paid yet this year. Mrs. Beverly Landers, 7181 Sunrise Drive asked the Council if her property is still included within the MUSA boundary. Mrs. Landers was told that the east one half (1/2) of her lot as well as all the lots on the west side of Sunrise Drive are in the MUSA boundary. Mayor Bisel explained why a portion of those lots are included. Mrs. Landers said she was very upset because she felt that the residents on her side of the street had been promised that they would be removed from the MUSA boundary. Council Member Reinert moved to close the public hearing at 10:07 P.M. Council Member Bohjanen seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Council Member Reinert moved to approve Option No. 1 of Mr. Schneider's "green sheet" and adopt Resolution No. 28 - 90.- Council Member Bohjanen seconded the motion. On a roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. Resolution No. 28 - 90 can be found at the end of these minutes. DESIGN REVIEW BOARD REPORT - JOHN MILLER Set Public Hearing for Preliminary Plat, Birch Woods, June 25, 1990, 7:15 P.M. - Council Member Bohjanen moved to set this public hearing. Council Member Neal seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. Set Public Hearing for Conditional Use Permit for Brian Soderman for Rock Gardens Nursery for June 25, 1990, 7:30 P.M. - Council Member Reinert moved to set this public hearing. Council Member BoNanen seconded the motion. Mr. Miller was asked if this business is in operation. It was explained that they have installed some of the bins for their PAGE 7
