1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />COUNCIL MEETING JULY 9, 1990 <br />PUBLIC HEARING, CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT, ROCK GARDENS - BRIAN <br />SODERMAN <br />Mr. Miller explained that the Mr. and Mrs. Soderman have <br />purchased the Roland Ford property and plan to start a lawn <br />and landscaping business. Mr. Soderman will be selling <br />landscape timber, decorative rock, boulders and other <br />landscaping materials. A Conditional Use Permit is required <br />for outdoor storage of the landscaping materials. The Design <br />Review Board has reviewed the request and has recommended <br />approval with about fifteen (15) different stipulations to <br />the permit. Council Member Kuether noted that she had looked <br />at the property today and is amazed at the improvement. <br />Council Member Bohjanen also viewed the property and said <br />there was a 1000% improvement. <br />Mayor Bisel opened the public hearing at 8:10 P.M. Mr. <br />Soderman told the Council that he had a problem with the <br />length of time he is able to display a "reader board" sign. <br />Mr. Miller explained that the length of time for display <br />could be lengthened. <br />There were no comments from the audience. <br />Council Member Bohjanen moved to close the public hearing at <br />8:17 P.M. Council Member Neal seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Council Member Bohjanen moved to approve DRB application loo. <br />90 - 22. Council Member Reinert seconded the motion. On a <br />roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br />PUBLIC HEARING, CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT, EXPANDED DAY CARE <br />FACILITY, SHARON GAGE <br />Mr. Miller explained that Mr. and Mrs. Gage own a residence <br />in the Lino Air Park and operate a day care facility for <br />twelve (12) children. They are requesting a Conditional Use <br />Permit to allow them to provide care for fourteen (14) <br />children. The applicant has met all applicable State and <br />County regulations and the DRB has recommend approval of the <br />request with three stipulations. <br />Mayor Bisel opened the public hearing at 8:25 P.M. <br />Craig Crofz, 547 - 98th Street, N.E., <br />that he recently purchased 367 Thomas <br />the Gage property. He is building a new he e o <br />Mr. Crofz gave the Council ricte es of the area.
