1
CITY COUNCIL
WORK SESSION MINUTES
THURSDAY AUGUST 2, 1990
PAGE 1
The City Council Worksession was called to order by Mayor
Bisel at 3:15 p.m. Council present: Kuether, Neal, Bohjanen.
Staff present: Randy Schumacher, City Administrator; Darrell
Schneider, TKDA; Dan Boxrud, SEH.
Shenandoah Trunk
Mr. Schneider reviewed the options for trunk installation
which he had presented to the Metropolitan Waste Control
Commission (MWCC). This proposal would affect both Urban
Service Districts number one and four. He went on to explain
the cost savings and supporting issues for the lift station,
and installation on Ware Road. Mr. Schneider also detailed
the timing of the installation, as well as the areas it would
impact.
Centerville Police Contract
Staff reviewed for the Council a two year proposal for police
services they would like to present to the City of
Centerville.
After a brief discussion, the Council directed staff to
forward the proposed contract to Centerville. The level of
service would be the same as what presently exists for Lino
Lakes residents.
The cost for the first year of the contract would run between
$121,000.00 and $124,000.00, depending on staff's final
adjustments. The cost for the second year would of service
would increase by 8% over the contract's base cost.
A response from Centerville was requested within 30 days.
This would coincide with the city's budgeting schedule.
These minutes were considered and approved at a regular Council meeting
held on November 13, 1990.
''
Mari yn G Anderson, Clerk- Treasurer
Harold L. Bisel, Mayor
