COUNCIL MEETING AUGUST 13, 1990 <br />Schneider - <br />rates were <br />Bond. The <br />Enterprise <br />Resolution <br />Mr. Schneider explained that in 1988 utility user <br />increased to help finance a General Obligation <br />user fees collected in the Sewer and Water <br />Fund have never been transferred to the Bond Fund. <br />No. 54 - 90 will transfer the funds. <br />Council Member Reinert moved to approve the Engineer's <br />recommendation and adopt Resolution No. 54 - 90. Council <br />Member Bohjanen seconded the motion. On a roll call vote, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 54 - 90 can be found at the end of these <br />minutes. <br />Resolution No. 55 - 90 Receiving Report and Calling a Public <br />Hearing for the Chomonix Gravity Trunk Sewer Improvement <br />Project for September 24, 1990, 7:15 P.M., Darrell Schneider <br />Mr. Schneider explained that the feasibility report is <br />completed and it does evaluate the extent of the proposed <br />gravity trunk sewer and makes recommendations for <br />implementation based upon proposed development. He asked <br />that the Council consider authorizing TKDA to develop a <br />program for interim service until the gravity trunk line is <br />fully operational. Council Member Bohjanen moved to approve <br />Resolution No. 55 - 90 and set the public hearing for the <br />Chomonix Gravity Trunk Sewer Improvement Project. Council <br />Member Kuether seconded the motion. On a roll call vote, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br />Council Member Bohjanen moved to appoint Council Member <br />Kuether to work with the Engineer, Staff and developers to <br />develop a program for interim service. Council Member <br />Kuether second the motion. On a roll call vote, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />CONSIDERATION OF THE RECOMMENDATION FROM THE CENTENNIAL FIRE <br />DISTRICT STEERING COMMITTEE <br />Council Member Neal moved to deny Milo Bennett as Fire Chief <br />for the Centennial Fire District. He explained that he felt <br />the present Fire Chief was discriminated against by an <br />article in the newspaper. In addition, everybody knew who <br />had been appointed Chief before Council Member Neal did. <br />Council Member Bohjanen seconded the motion. <br />Council Member Reinert said he felt that it was a long <br />process and although there may have been a "slip of the cog ", <br />the process was well laid out and Milo Bennett was the best <br />candidate. To not approve Milo Bennett at this point would <br />throw the entire Fire District in a "tizzy ". <br />After further discussion regarding the process of selecting <br />the new Fire Chief, his starting salary, moving expenses and <br />probation period, Mayor Bisel called for a roll call vote. <br />PAGE 14 <br />
