34 <br />July 22, 1974 <br />Mr. Marier was also concerned about the due date on the $550,000.00 temporary <br />bonds that are due in November. He felt this should be taken care of now. <br />A financial status of the amount available for repayment of these bonds should <br />be compiled by the Clerk and a meeting with the fiscal agent should be set up <br />as soon as possible. The monies available should be used to repay as much <br />as possible in order to reduce the amount to be refinanced. <br />Monday, July 29, 1974 at 8:00 p.m. was set for a special meeting to consider <br />this subject. The Clerk was instructed to contact Mr. Springstead and ask that <br />he attend this meeting. Mr. Locher was also asked to be present. <br />Mr. Jaworski asked if there had been any further contact as to the speed signs <br />on County Road "J ". The Clerk said, No. He asked the Clerk to contact the County <br />once again for some action on this request. <br />Under new business, the need for a tree inspector was discussed. There was <br />one application received at the Clerk's office and the inspector for Centerville <br />was mentioned. Mr. Marier moved to have the Clerk write to both these gentlemen, <br />asking their fee. Seconded by Mr. McLean. Motion carried. <br />The storage of flammable liquids by farmers was discussed. Mr. Locher is to <br />research the present Fire Ordinance and update as to the storage of flammable <br />liquids by farmers. Mr. Marier so moved. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Zelinka asked Mr. Locher if he had a report on his research as to possible <br />legal action against the Metro Council. Mr. Locher said the report is not <br />quite finished. He will try to have it ready for the special meeting on the <br />29th. <br />Mr. Jaworski felt that the A.B. Dick copy machine in the office should be <br />serviced. He so moved. Seconded by Mr. Marier. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Marier noted that one member of the Planning and Zoning Board had resigned and <br />asked if a name for consideration could be presented at the next Council meeting. <br />Mayor Bohjanen said he would have someone. Mr. Marier moved to send a letter of <br />"Thanks" to Mr. Rothbauer for his service to the Board. Seconded by Mr. Jaworski. <br />Motion Carried. <br />Mr. Hagen suggested that the new Police Emergency Number be publicized by the <br />papers. Residents are still calling the Sheriff's office number and they are <br />referred to the Central Communications number of 427 -1212. This should be more <br />widely publicized. <br />Mr. Jaworski asked Mr. Locher if Workman's Compensation had a three day waiting <br />period before compensation started. He referred to Mr. Krischbaum who was injured <br />on duty and had only receicvcdone days wages. Mr. Locher thought there was some <br />mistake and will check into this. <br />Mr. Jaworski moved to approve requisitions #454 and 455. Seconded by Mr. McLean. <br />Motion carried. <br />Mr. Jaworski moved to approve checks #5853 through #5897 excepting voids. <br />Seconded by Mr. McLean.
